At Lakeway Eye Center, patient care has always been at the heart of everything we do. When Dr. Wally El-Hitamy began thinking about the future of the practice, it was important to him to find the right person to continue his legacy of excellence and compassionate care.

Dr. El-Hitamy founded Lakeway Eye Center in 2001, building a practice rooted in high-quality, personalized eye care and strong community relationships. Over the years, he cultivated a trusted space where patients received not only expert treatment but also genuine attention to their well-being.

In 2022, Dr. El-Hitamy met Dr. Sima Mozdbar, and they quickly realized they shared the same approach to patient care—one centered on expertise, empathy, and individualized attention. With this shared vision, the transition of the practice felt like a natural fit.
Dr. Mozdbar brings years of clinical experience, along with a passion for innovation and research. As she steps into this role, her goal is to uphold the values that have made Lakeway Eye Center a trusted name in eye care while also incorporating new advancements and expanding services to better serve patients.

While Dr. El-Hitamy’s legacy remains a foundational part of the practice, Dr. Mozdbar looks forward to building on that strong tradition. The team at Lakeway Eye Center is grateful for the continued trust and support of our patients, and we are excited for this new chapter, ensuring the highest level of care for years to come.
